We travelled to Mt. Cook yesterday.  What began as a cloudy morning opened up to a beautiful clear day.  The sun is streaming into my photo.  A majestic New Zealand Mountain called Mount Cook with snow stands out in all its beauty.  Awesome!

Fresh Garden Flowers with Gluten Free Biscuits from my oven.

Image
I have had a busy day today.  A sunshine day inspire me to get busy in the house and garden.  I love those flowers.  Bright colours of cosmos, zinnia, dahlia and more.  I do enjoy having flowers to pick.  I'm sure the rain has resulted in these beautiful flowers doing so well.  I have never had such a prolific garden. I wanted to make these gluten free chocolate chip biscuits.  I used a basic recipe but I altered it to produce a gluten free biscuit. I'm finding that if I add an egg it helps the final outcome.  I also increase the Baking Powder or other raising agent.  Its all a bit hit and miss but I have had some good results.  Which encourages me.  Forgot to say, I use gluten free flour to replace the ordinary baking flour. Obvious really!

Fabric Collage - having a go!

Image
Here we are with a photo of some work on a fabric collage. Small pieces of  interactive fabric along with some pieces of lace.  All  put together with fancy stitches and here it is. In reality I think it does look better than the photo shows here. I am encouraged to try fabric collage again.  I have started another piece which is  looking okay.  The good thing is you can cover areas that are not that great.  I think that is what I will do with mine.   Cheers, Joan.  ðŸ’¥

Beautiful colour on a rock

Image
I am inspired by nature.  The colour of this  lichen a strong mustard  shade   is worth a second look.  Nature gives us much to be appreciated as this photo shows. I would love to have a selection of threads in this colour. That would really be special.

A year from now....

                                                Very  appropriate!
Its been a long while since I have blogged on my old blog 'Fiber Fascination.blogspot.com'. A number of years I believe...... I thoroughly enjoyed blogging.  Dreaming up what my next post would be about.  Photographing my creative pursuits and so on..  Adding a few lines  to make a story of interest I hoped.   The most exciting thing was when readers from around the world responded to my blogging. How wonderful to read these comments.  I appreciated acknowledgement of my work.  What a small world after all. Wouldn't it be great to start  again.  A new beginning!    I'll give it a go.  I know the process of blogging has moved on but you never know until you try.                                           " Here's to a new beginning" Cheers   Joan.
