The Beginning........

Here I am beginning my new blog.  It feels a little exciting and   also mainly unknown as regards how this will come together.

I love sewing, and particularly the creative part of it all.  I have gathered many fabrics, threads and many other bits and pieces along the way.  Many are recycled and many are new pieces.  Just great to have a variety  when putting a
project together 


Thought I would show you a photo of the Waitaki Valley.  It's not far from here.  Snow on the mountains and willow trees border the water.  
A special place to spend time.

    Waitaki Valley is a very beautiful place. We have had many enjoyable family gatherings amidst its beauty which varies season by season.

Beautiful colour on a rock

 I am inspired by nature.  The colour of this  lichen a strong mustard  shade   is worth a second look.  Nature gives us much to be appreciated as this photo shows. I would love to have a selection of threads in this colour. That would really be special.

  We travelled to Mt. Cook yesterday.  What began as a cloudy morning opened up to a beautiful clear day.  The sun is streaming into my photo.  A majestic New Zealand Mountain called Mount Cook with snow stands out in all its beauty.  Awesome!
